RE: [JaguarYacht] Jag 25 Fresh water tank info

My boat had had a small square hatch cover fitted to the top of the water tank
in the forward compartment with a small opener that you needed to remove when
filling. After getting water everywhere on a couple of occasionsand being fed
up with having to move everything in the forward carbin I fitted a round access
hatch cover (6 inch) to replace the original. I could then get access to the
inside of the tank and fitted a small bore pipe outlet ( 10mm) as close to the
top of the tank as possible. I ran the pipe up the bulkhead and into the anchor
locker and fitted a vent. A bit of drilling and the use of a vacumn cleaner to
clean the tank out - Works really well.

Subject: [JaguarYacht] Jag 25 Fresh water tank info

Hello,

I'm after a bit of information on how/what your fresh water tank setup is on
your Jag 25.

Mine is located under the front v birth with an inspection hatch on the top.
Currently this doesn't have an o-ring to seal it which i was going to sort out
but then i thought I've never seen a vent for this tank.

Boat is still new to us :)

Thanks,
Mat

Hello Mat, I never gave it much thought until now. Mine is in the same position and I don't think I have a vent apart from the lid itself. I will check. ...

Maybe with these manual taps you dont need a vent. If you could check for me that would be great. We got a little water under the bunks once due to that o-ring...
