This is a group set up in February of 2008 to study through the Harold Jacobs classic text, Mathematics A Human Endeavor. A schedule is posted in the files. Members are currently using all three editions, so a specific edition is not recommended. There is no charge to participate. The leader of the group is Sue Van Hattum, along with several co-leaders who will assist in leading the group through the text.

The study group originated from the Living Math list http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LivingMathForum/ but due to a higher number of participants than expected, the study group was moved to a separate list. Individuals interested in discussion about general math education in a living environment are welcome to join the discussion there.
