Can anybody shed light on TS Eliot's relationship with Jacobitism?

I know he described himself as a "royalist" and was a lifetime member of the
Society of King Charles the Martyr.

I'm particularly interested in whether he consciously drew parallels between the
Fisher King (in the Waste Land) and King Charles.

Any light would be appreciated!

Yes Phinella, you are perfectly correct. With a woman's finesse and sensitivity, you have made the point that masques, and not "masked balls", as I erroneously...
