This is the Jobs Through Recycling Listserv.

This forum is limited to discussions regarding all aspects of recycling from collection to processing and manufacturing and purchasing products with recycled material content. Please direct your discussion regarding broader environmental and sustainabiliy issues to other appropriate listservs.

This group is open to professional recyclers only. Professional recyclers include officials in State, local government, recycling businesses, university researchers and consultants in the recyling industry. This is your forum to share information with and get advice from your colleagues. Please do not use this group in a commercial fashion.

Why is the acronym JTR? Why not PNR? Until recently the United States Environmental Protection Agency hosted the JTRNet listserv which was an electronic communications link for EPA's Jobs Through Recycling (JTR) Program. JTR fostered recycling market development by facilitating information exchange and providing networking opportunities. The objectives of the Jobs Through Recycling program were to: Expanding markets for recycled and reusable materials; stimulating economic development and creating jobs.
