JP Men's Group is a social group for gay and bi men who live or work in the Jamaica Plain Community. We also welcome any interested straight men who would like to join us. There is no other goal besides creating an opportunity to bring people in our community together for events, social gatherings and networking. Think of it as bringing a little Mayberry RFD into Gay JP. (That was a little reference to Oppie, Andy and Aunt Bee Taylor in case you missed it!)

We are also building community with local businesses, restaurants and bars. The group meets once a month for large events, generally at a new location in town. In addition to the larger gatherings we have ongoing activities such as movie nights, potlucks, wine events, bowling nights and spontaneous pub nights. JPMG members use this listserve to announce a variety of gatherings and activities in and around JP.

Although 90% of our members are from JP, our events are open to friends and people in other communities who might enjoy an alternative to the traditional 'bar scene.'
