We are Japanese Anime People of Chicago(JAPC). We are the first original independent mailing list/gathering, not affiliated with any school club or organization created in October of 2000 for all ages, simply for the purpose of connecting fans of Japanese Animation, the various subcultures, and general Japanese Culture in the local Chicagoland Area. We are a very diverse group of many nationalities and backgrounds.

DO NOT apply to join this yahoo group, you must follow our membership instructions found here. Any memberships to this group will be denied.

To really benefit from this club, you must live in Chicago or the surrounding suburbs, participate in our events and/or forums. Our events are hosted mainly in members' private homes, with the occasional meetup in a public venue.

All group communication is via our forums. Only links to the forum topics are posted to our Yahoo and Google Groups - they're really just for backup purposes in the event of forum malfunction. Thus, the forums are the most important of those three to be a part of and to pay attention to if you want to keep in touch with us and what's going on.
