JAM, which stands for Jews and Muslims and All, is an interfaith group founded in South Florida after 9/11 by David Kamrat, a Jewish businessman and humanitarian, and Maulana Shafayat Mohammed, a noted Islamic spiritual leader and teacher. JAM is a non-profit organization of Jews, Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and all peoples dedicated to fostering understanding, social harmony, and peace through dialogue, multicultural interaction and educational projects.

To that end, we sponsor Town Hall meetings, monthly womens’ discussion groups, college classes, picnics, conferences, festivals and other events. We frequently exchange visits to each other’s places of worship, and share holidays and other special occasions. All JAM events are open to the public and are usually free.

The members of JAM have truly gotten to know each other as beloved friends and spiritual comrades, and we have shared many meaningful discussions, celebrated births, mourned deaths, as well as joining together to celebrate holidays with some of the most amazing potlucks ever!

We believe that education, social interaction and sustained dialogue offer viable alternatives to intolerance, misunderstanding and hatred in our world today. We currently have active JAM groups in South Florida and Oregon. Please visit http://www.jamandall.org for more information.
