I suspect less than 10% of the total were shoal. I've only ever seen 1 listed for sale. You save 1 ft, but I will bet the performance hit is significant....

I don't grease my bearings (perhaps I should). But, any hydrophobic marine lube would be my choice. Say, like the grease used for a feathering (geared) prop....

I think I agree with Kurt...the rudder is REALLY solid...I have a good fiberglass guy that I trust,,,,his quote was 'bomb proof' he is the one that said drill...
