I use Harken winch grease and an acid brush to get a nice thin layer on the rollers, drum, and brass gears. I use 3 - in - 1 oil for the pawls. It is

Winch grease for the drum/rollers and for the brass gears only. Don't use too much it will slow things down and you will lose advantage. Always use a thin
