Ista Weyr was the fifth Weyr to be founded, having been founded sometime during the Second Interval, and could be the oddest of them all. Situated in an extinct volcano on Big Island, it is the most oddly constructed. Thrusting four fingers and a thumb to the sky the Weyr is small, having forest weyrs on the outside of volcano face as well as inside. The Weyr also opens onto a plateau facing the sea. Pern is currently just beginning the 7th Pass, with other odd dealings going on in Pern indeed. So please, feel free to look around as much as is permitted, however due to the fact that we are temporarily closed, there isn't much to see.
