It is our ardent desire to see the Montessori Method propagated among Muslims as a superior approach to education. If Maria Montessori was correct in her observations, and I believe that she was, then we, as Muslims, have a beautiful opportunity to create an educational environment which supports the fitra of the child. This fitra is one of worship to Allah alone, love of order and work, courtesy, obedience, inquisitiveness and a drive to learn. Education should support the child's fitra, not work against it.
