Description

Recent developments in DNA analysis have revealed exciting new information on the origins of the peoples of Ireland that have been unavailable until now. Though written documentation on Irish family history is sometimes hard to come by, each Irishman carries in his genetic makeup a permanent record of the complex and often turbulent development of what has evolved into the Irish nation of today.

This group is focused on gaining an understanding of DNA and the information it provides about our Irish origins. Our topics are diverse - from the basics of how to join a surname study to more complex technical issues on how DNA functions as a blueprint for our genetic record.

All levels of interest are welcome to our forum. No question is too simple. Members are encouraged to be comfortable with their own level of knowledge and interest.
