This group was created to bring together Environmental Public Health professionals that are involved with GIS applications in Iowa. Departments that have established GIS programs and those involved in starting up a new GIS program in the health department are encouraged to network and share ideas, projects and questions!

Remember that the Health GIS committee of the Iowa Geographic Information Council is also fitly joined to our purposes! The mission of the Health GIS committee is to facilitate collaboration among health GIS users from the public health and medical professions within the IGIC membership. To achieve issues-based objectives and promote the use of geospatial information in line with the goals of this committee, IGIC membership, IGIC Board and other stakeholders.
