Indian Comics Irregular #209
Occupy Wall Street and its "We Are the 99%" slogan have dominated the news the
last couple of months. Indians have noted that Americans are occupying their
land, and have tried to shift the message from "Occupy" to "Decolonize."

Heritage and Stereotype Month
November gave us Native American Heritage Month and Thanksgiving. With the
recent protests over faux Native fashions and costumes (ICI #208), the month
offered an odd mix of cultural events and mistakes.

I also got some exposure for my critique of the "Hidden America: Children of the
Plains" TV documentary. Indian Country Today published it and the Native
America Calling radio show interviewed me about it.
