Re: Looking for A Real Change ? - Visit www.humanistparty.org/index.php/change

Dear Sudhir

I've had a look at your website briefly. What struck me was the strange mix of
policy recommendations your party makes. The mystery was resolved when I read
your underlying principle at:
http://humanistparty.org/index.php/hp-manifesto

namely, "Humanism is based on a conception of the human being and society whose
highest value is life."

Without denying that life is important I think you've ignored the combination of
life and liberty - the mix that balances out things.

Your recommendations tend towards socialism very strongly. "Jobs for all and a
reasonable unemployment pay to those who cannot be given jobs immediately.
Employment will be made a fundamental right. Enact National Minimum Wage Policy,
ensuring that the daily wage worker gets a minimum living wage of Rs. 300 a
day."

This can only be done (if taken to the logical extreme) by curbing liberty, and
ultimately the life of people. As I have shown in 'Breaking Free of Nehru'
http://www.sanjeev.sabhlokcity.com/breakingfree.html
and discussed at length in The Discovery of Freedom,
http://www.sanjeev.sabhlokcity.com/discovery.html
mindless interference in other's lives in order to guarantee things like
employment will lead to totalitarian dictatorship and the threaten life in
society. Soviet Russia and Communist China are good examples.

Your policies are in many ways anti-life; also by preventing capital punishment,
you compel innocent people to pay for the upkeep of heinous murderers. The
philosophy underling 'humanism' therefore rewards killers with free food and
shelter for life.

May I suggest you consider the natural implications of the policies you
recommend and consider, instead, balanced policies which combine life and
liberty as the objective.

The best way to understand what I'm saying is to read the first four chapters of
The Discovery of Freedom. After that, if you are convinced, you may persuade
members of the Humanist Party who are interested in liberty to join FTI
(http://www.freedomteam.in).

Regards
Sanjeev
