Immigration Equality (formerly the Lesbian and Gay Immigration Rights Task Force) was founded in 1994 and is committed to combating the discriminatory nature of U.S. immigration policy and law on the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and HIV-positive immigrants, their families, friends, and loved ones.
