3rd - 8th grade and high school curriculum based on the history series: The Mystery of History (and eventually All American History, as well).

Illuminations includes fabulous literature selections and Family Study Guides and Read-Alone Study Guides. These guides are chock-full of discussions, hands-on activities, spiritual application, literary elements, vocabulary, etc. We are also providing spelling lessons written by Kathryn Stout author of The Natural Speller. Vocabulary is taught through our literature picks as well as optional English From The Roots Up book. Writing lessons through your choice of The WriteShop program or Foundations to Writing - both multi-year, multi-grade with lesson plans tweaked especially for The Mystery of History! You will find copywork as well a Bible reading schedule. Grammar options include a schedule for Easy Grammar or Winston Grammar.

We've also scheduled and written lesson plans for geography using The Ultimate Geography & Timeline Guide and for science, using Christian Kids Explore Biology.

Parents of early learners (K-2) will enjoy the bonus "Read Aloud" selections as well as Bible reading just for them.

Joining this group means that ANY AND ALL IDEAS YOU SHARE HERE may be used by Maggie Hogan and/or Bright Ideas Press in the further development of Illuminations without specific permission from the group member to do so. (Although, of course, we'll try! But sometimes so many ideas get shared it is very hard to tell from whom they originated.)
