Greetings Illinois Jaycees! What a start we had in January!
Congratulations to everyone for their efforts and excitment getting
us off
to a fantastic start. We started with a great GA hosted by the
Gateway down
in St. Louis! We had so many visitors both last year and this
year's
NVP's,
our 2004 National President Lon Fox, and 2004 JCI World President
just to
name a few. Saturday evening we were also had several JCI members
stop by
to say hello. All in all it was a fantastic general assembly. I
believe
you guys took that excitment back home and really help yourselves
and
the
Illinois Jaycees with a winning hand in Janurary, + 30 is a great
starting
point, #3 in the nation for growth and #1 in New Member Adds!
Congratulations again to all of you!
This past weekend we hosted our 2nd board meeting down in
Springfield
at the
service center. I then traveled down to the Gateway for a little
ROTS
training, hosted by the Collinsville Jaycees, hopefully folks walked
away
with some ideas that will help sprark their year. Next it was on to
New
Baden for a little bowling, what can I say but "Thanks New Baden"
for
the
best round of bowling I've ever had, for several reasons ( you'd had
to have
been there to understand) I'll look forward to those new members
getting
acitivated and will see Collinsville and New Baden and the Camp New
Hope
clean up day! (that's right, due to my bowling abilities New Baden
and
Collinsville will be attending the clean up day - Thanks Guys!)
Tuesday your Membership VP Lucia and I headed out to join the folks
over in
Elgin for a M-night! Fun was had by all and we even managed to
recruit one
new member and spoke to several other prospects. Watch out for
Elgin
when
they get up and running! Keep on Rolling and the realities of your
efforts
will be there!
This coming weekend I will be around the northern part of the state
hitting
events in the NE and the FOX, scheduleing will determine how many we
hit,
wait for next week's update.
Bye for now, keep the enthusiasim up and let me know when and where
you need
some help! I'm really excited about this year and want to do
whatever it
takes to support all of you, the members of the Illinois Jaycees.
Hope to
hear from you soon! Bye for now!
