IWOSC-OC provides writers with the opportunity to get together with other writers each month. Independent writers from all backgrounds are encouraged to join this group. Monthly meetings are open to the public.

IWOSC-OC meets at 7pm the third Thursday of each month at the Tustin Library. The schedule through June 2011 is:

Membership to the IWOSC-OC group is by invitation only. This Yahoo group was created as a “closed group” so members may feel free to post manuscripts, writing samples, book chapters, etc. with the purpose of sharing these works with other members for critiquing purposes. Works posted to the IWOSC-OC Yahoo Group are not for public view and are only to be shared within the group. Sharing other members’ works outside the group in any manner will be grounds for being banned from the group.

Submitting Microsoft Office Files: Please submit files in 2003-2007 format. PDF files and RTF files may also be posted.

Rating System: In order to facilitate comfort within the group's writers and readers, group members have agreed to a rating system. If works you submit fall under any of these categories, you are to include the category name in your file post description.

P - Profanity
ES - Explicit S-x
GV - Graphic Violence
A - Adult Material

The group has agreed that works which contain explicit racism or hate-filled content will be immediately removed. Posting of such works may lead to bannishment from the group.

This is not a political forum. Group members would like to avoid political discussions, unless they stem from a larger part of a story. Regarding such issues, please keep comments and critique within the scope of the work being read/reviewed.
