List members are asked to adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Please keep topics and queries relevant to GENETIC GENEALOGY uses of DNA testing. The list moderators may e-mail you a gentle reminder in the case of "topic drift" (i.e.: politics, religion, etc.) if the subjects do not pertain to our list topic.

2. When replying to messages, please conserve space by removing the
portion of the message below your response that doesn't apply. Messages are archived, so you may review the message thread. It may also be helpful to change the subject line of the reply. This list is set to send your replies to the entire group. Please change the "To:" line if you wish to reply to an individual.

3. PLEASE, NO FLAMING! Flaming, rudeness, and trolls, etc. will not be tolerated!

4. While other lists may not allow the discussion of prices to be mentioned on their lists, you ARE ALLOWED to mention prices of relevant products on our list. We see no difference between mentioning the price of a newly published family genealogy or the price of a DNA test. If product prices are a relevant topic, please feel free to discuss it.

5. We reserve the right to remove list members and/or offensive and/or inappropriate postings.

6. Do NOT forward or cross-post other people's messages WITHOUT their permission. If you do, you may be subject to removal from the ISOGG list.
