The I.M.S. William Penn is a ship-chapter of Maquis Forces International as well as part of the Lancaster Science Fiction Society. The William Penn serves the Susquehanna Valley with members currently from the Harrisburg area, Hershey, New Holland, Manheim and York. Membership is, however, open to all interested Sci-Fi fans wherever they may be. Although we started as a Star Trek club, we welcome the fans of any other sci-fi TV franchise or movie to our ranks as well as folks who enjoy sci-fi in the written word whether in books, e-books , or comic books. We also plan to explore the history of science-fiction to learn how it developed to its present form and to have periodic outings to learn about real-world space flight and space science.
