Journey to the Heart of Islam

The British Museum is in the final stages of planning a major exhibition about
Hajj – the largest exhibition of its kind anywhere in the world.

Running from 26 January until 15 April 2012, the exhibition will trace the
journeys of pilgrims through history right up to the present day, bringing
together an extraordinary selection of objects from around the world, which show
the wonder, grandeur and scale of the pilgrimage to Mecca.
