IL-Pet Law is moderated for flames, trolls, off-topic posts. We discuss how to fight bills or laws negatively affecting pets of all kinds: dogs, cats, birds, small mammals, reptiles, others. We'll talk mainly about state and local legislation, lawmaking and law-fighting practices and methods and such ideas as breed bans, mandatory spay and neuter, breeder registration, and licensing. Share ideas, resources, approaches. Discussion of related topics like breeding practices, rescue policies and so on should be mostly on the national list, pet-law@yahoogroups.com. Trolls will be removed. No petitions, safety alerts, lost dogs, dogs needing homes, etc.
