Welcome to Ibaraki Hash House Harriers mailing list! This a forum to exchange information, get reminders of upcoming events, and get to know your fellow IH3 hashers.
Hashing . . . it's a mixture of athleticism and sociability, hedonism and hard work; a refreshing break from the nine-to-five routine. Hashing is an exhilaratingly fun combination of running, orienteering, and partying, where bands of harriers and harriettes chase "hares" on five to ten kilometer long trails through town, country, jungle, and desert, all in search of exercise, camaraderie, and good times.
The Ibaraki hash was founded by ToeJam on the 4th of July 1999. It's located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, about one hour from Tokyo to the northeast. We run once a month, usually the last Sunday, but always on a Sunday. Our hash is a mixed group of Japanese and Foreigners, male and female.
