The IAJE String list is a forum for discussion of improvising strings, and the primary means of disseminating IAJE String Caucus information to its membership.

The IAJE String Caucus is dedicated to assuring the continued growth and development of string improvisation. We aim to integrate strings into the mainstream of jazz education, performance and composition, from primary through professional levels. We believe that a basic fluency in jazz improvisation is an essential component of the 21st century string player’s complete musicianship, and that the 21st century jazz world definitely includes strings.
