I-26 is an east-west main route of the Interstate Highway System in the Southeastern United States. It runs from the junction of U.S. Route 11W and U.S. Route 23 in Kingsport, Tennessee, generally south and southeast to U.S. Route 17 in Charleston, South Carolina. The portion from Mars Hill, North Carolina, east (compass south) to Interstate 240 in Asheville, North Carolina, is signed as Future I-26 because it does not yet meet Interstate standards; a short realignment is also planned in Asheville.
For help with transport of rescued animals along the I-26 corridor, requests for help must contain the URL of the responsible rescue and must identify the Starting point and Destination of the run within the first paragraph.
Posts for transportation must either travel the I-26 corridor or cross it at a leg change.
I-26 runs through Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina. If your run does not go through these states along the I-26 corridor, do not post it here!
No unaltered pets will be transported to a forever home unless a veterinarian attests that there is some medical reason not to alter the pet before transport.
No photos are permitted in the posts -- if you want the transporters to see the dogs, please use a link to a webpage where they can be seen.
No "Pets Need Homes" posts allowed -- no cross-posting of petfinder lists -- this is a transport only list.
Home visit requests within 35 miles of the I-26 corridor will be permitted.
No flaming, no petitions, no DNA, no soliciting, no inspirational messages.
