HopeNotes completely affirms, supports, and encourages LGBT persons for who they are! By email, HopeNotes provides a regular source of affirmation, encouragement, and support for lesbian, gay bisexual, and transgendered persons and their family, friends, and allies!

INSPIRATION - While HopeNotes DOES NOT intend to limit is words of hope to those from the Christian tradition, it was words from Christian scripture that were some of the initial inspiration for beginning this special emailing group. They stand as a beacon of hope for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons who endure the intense struggles and hostility of a culture that often is against them. They bring a bright light to the dark, lonely closets that many sexual minorities face in our churches, schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and homes.

HOPE - This group will attempt to provide regular reflections or words of hope to all God's people. Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender persons (as well as parents, family, friends, and allies) will find hope and healing through words of insight, encouragement, positive sayings, personal reflections, affirmation without fear of running into homophobic content.

SOURCES - While this Yahoo Group has been inspired in part by the unconditional love of God as found in the Christian gospels, members will find words of hope shared from many sources. Sources might include stories, devotions, prayers, scripture, sayings, scientific findings, hopeful news, bumperstickers, blessings, sermons, hunourous items, and history.

SHARE - All members are encouaged to share words that have been sources of hope or healing for them.
