This is a Family homesteading group! My vision is for us to become a group of friends who talk about our lives. Let's share our experiences and learn new skills or new ways to do things. I want us to feel free to ask advice as well as give it.

We talk about what interests us such as: rural and remote homesteading, raising (or hunting) our own meat/fish, survival ideas and skills, homeschooling, keeping livestock, and vegetable gardening. Some us raise goats, cattle, poultry, rabbits, sheep, and more. Some don't.

We are farmers, homesteaders, back-to-the-land folks and believers in living a simpler life. Some of us may garden in a window box, others may garden on acreas. We may want to raise healthier children away from the influences of modern society. We may want to save the ecology. We may want to grow our own food free of hormones. Self-reliance is our goal! Let's share information on food preservation, soapmaking, butchering, homestyle cooking--what ever interests you. If you are living a natural self-sufficient life, or want to live that life, please join us!

We do not discuss religion or politics on this list--we recognize that we are individuals with our own opinions and this is not the place for discussing those two subjects. Talk about it somewhere else! It will not be tolerated here.

Please keep it clean, this is a family list and children are part of the homestead. No off color or adult jokes please. We are Homesteading FAMILY. Everyone is Welcome =) Young and Mature alike! (I refuse to use the word old)
