Homesteader - The Affordable Home Longarm Quilting Systems

Welcome to the Homesteader Quilting Systems group. The Homesteader is NOT a stretched machine. It is a hybrid machine because it uses home sewing machine parts on the top (to allow for the use of regular machine needles) and commercial machine parts on the bottom (to allow for the use of the larger M bobbins).

The purpose of the group is to provide current owners and those who are thinking about purchasing with a place to exchange ideas and successes, and get assistance from other users with issues.

Please be courteous to your fellow members. All members are encouraged to express their opinions, but no flaming is allowed and any member abusive to other members will be banned from the group. Disagreements should be handled outside of the group. The moderators will determine who is to be removed from the group.

No advertising, political comments, or religious opinions are allowed.

NOTE: Current photo is Mary Stephens' system. It is a 22" Homesteader, with a stitch regulator, attached to a Side Saddle on a Homesteader Cabinet Top Frame. The quilt was pieced by Lindlee Sullivan. It is her first quilt and is a king size. Updated 09/2010.
