Homeschooling South Florida is a Yahoo Group designed for homeschooling kids (and their moms/dads) from the Palm Beaches, Broward County, and Dade County.

Members on this board are open to discuss homeschooling issues such as curriculum selection, unschooling, the pros and cons (when mom/dad becomes overwhelmed), offer advice to new homeschoolers and share articles found concerning homeschooling issues. This Yahoo group will offer links to other Yahoo groups that are like minded, and has 1000's of links to projects, lesson plans, informative websites for all subjects, complete with games, activities, free downloads and printable pages for educating our children. I doesn't matter what curriculum you are using or if your unschooling we can all learn from each other. Religious education can be discussed, but religious theology will not be debated.

This Yahoo group will arrange, with the help of all members, educational field trips and fun playdates for the moms and children to interact with one another (so our children will not be left out of the socialization issue that so many use as a defense not to homeschool - LOL).

Homeschooling children (and their moms/dads) from preschools to high school are welcome to join. This group also welcomes grandparents to join as members so they can support their children educating their grandchildren, use the links to subjects & information to help educate the grandchildren, as well as contribute valuable information about education and life's important lessons!
