Welcome to Homeschool East Texas!

This is an announcement site for homeschoolers in the East Texas counties of Anderson, Angelina, Cherokee, Henderson, Houston, Nacogdoches, Rusk, and Smith. All entries must be submitted to the site administrator for posting. This is not a "chat" group.

We're happy to list:

- Items you are seeking (books, materials, etc)
- Items you are selling or giving away
- Information helpful to other homeschool parents
- Prayer requests
- Any event reminders, notices or other information
- Updates about changes in planned activities
- Garage sales and other non-homeschool related information (please limit any commercial advertisements to one per month)

To send an announcement to the site, compose an e-mail exactly as you would like your announcement posted to HomeschoolET@yahoogroups.com. You may submit your announcement as often as you would like (within reason); it will appear once per submission.

To be approved for membership, you must be ACTIVELY homeschooling and live one of the East Texas counties listed above. ALL REQUESTS FOR MEMBERSHIP WILL BE SCREENED.

PRIVACY PROMISE: We strive to protect your privacy! Please know that if you submit your telephone number or e-mail address in your announcement, all members will receive that information. However, we will do our best to protect this list from those outside the East Texas homeschooling community (thus the stringent screening of all members). E-mail addresses are NOT listed in the membership directory.
