Homeschool-ING stands for Homeschool Inclusive Network and Group. It provides a homeschooling network where families can communicate questions, concerns, or other needs, as well as plan and participate in regular group activities. Homeschool-ING primarily serves the Provo and Orem areas in Utah County, although families from other locations are welcome to join.
Our goal is to provide a nonjudgmental and inclusive support network in which homeschooling families actively participate and facilitate in regular social and educational opportunities.
Guiding Principles
1. There are many different styles and approaches to homeschooling. All our conversation must be kind, considerate, and respectful.
2. Homeschooling families need regular and predictable social opportunities to provide their children with a well-rounded education. We seek others who are looking to create long-term homeschooling friendships.
3. By pooling our resources, we are be able to provide broader educational experiences for our children.
4. We are considerate and act responsibly during any group activity, including field trips, parties, and other social activities.
5. We are a positive resource for those who are exploring the option of homeschooling.
Rules
1. There are no dues or other requirements to join Homeschool-ING, other than a genuine interest in homeschooling.
2. Any activity that has costs associated with it is the responsibility of those who wish to participate.
3. Forwards, jokes, spam, offensive material, and advertisements should not be posted and will not be tolerated.
These rules are subject to change based on the discretion of the officers. Anyone who does not follow the rules may be removed from the group at the discretion of the officers.
