Goodmorning to all,

I am looking for some Sonlight Curriculum for my 6 year old. I would be looking
at a 1st grade level. I like this curriculum very much but buying it new is not
something we can do. I have most all of the readers, basically I need the
science, english, history and math with the daily lesson plan book. If anyone
has this for sale or knows of anyplace I can get this I would very much
appreciate it.

Consequence or no consequence?

There is an ancient Chinese saying :  一失足成千古恨,
再回頭己是百年新.
(English translation)
One step in the wrong direction becomes years of remorse and sorrow,
to turn back is like a century renewed (meaning impossible to turn back).

meaning :

In our life time, there are often times for us to make decisions.  It is of
utmost importance not to make the wrong (morally wrong) decision, for that
decision will affect us years and years afterward.  Even if we wished to turn
back, it would almost be impossible.


Let me quote an example.  There was one accountant in Hong Kong who was valued
by his employer.  But he thought that he could get rich in Chile (he had
relatives there).  He resigned his job, left his wife (at that time pregnant)
and emigrated to Chile.  But his relatives in Chile deceived him (for 3 months,
they did not pay him), and his condition was worse than he was in Hong Kong. 
Years dragged on, and life was hard.  He felt ashamed to return (lose face), and
he had no money even if he were to return.  He stayed in Chile some 40 years
without seeing his wife and daughter.  In the 80s, his wife died.  He never saw
his wife these 40+ years, and he lamented much in his old age.

To leave a pregnant wife is totally wrong, think of the sorrow and loneliness of
the wife struggling alone with a child to care.

All should study the laws/commandments of GOD

cursed and never be blessed.

(English translation)
Accident/mishap/trouble comes fast like an arrow, but it goes away like a
thread.

meaning :
An accident may happen very suddenly.  To get hurt is easy, but to recover is
long.


Let me quote an example.  There was one mother who had a child who was quite
active (naughty).  He often got away without hurt.  One day, he fell down, and
his mother saw it, and called him, expecting that he would jump up as before. 
But this time, he made no response.  His neck was broken and he was dead.

What grandma said, I think was physical hurt (household safety), but it is true
for all things.  To make one rash decision is easy, for the effect to die away
is long.

Jesus taught us in [Matthew 5:29-30] : "If your right eye causes you to sin,
pluck it out and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your members
than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you
to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better that you lose one of your
members than that your whole body go into hell."

During the Cultural Revolution, many would betray friends, even parents, to save
his own skin.  They fear suffering, and they suppress their conscience and did
wrong to save their own skin.  Even today, many feared suffering and do things
against their conscience.

Better bear the cross and follow Jesus than ending up in hell.

Remember, Jesus has the final say in all events on earth, trust in him and have
the courage to say No to wrongs/evils.

惡有惡報, 善有善報, 若然不報, 時辰未到.
(English translation)
Doing good will have good return,
doing evil will have evil return.
Even if recompense is not happening right now, it is because the time is not
yet.


GOD is God of justice.  GOD will administer perfect justice according to His
laws.

Jesus : "The measure you give will be the measure you get back, and more".

Paul : "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap." [Galatians 6:7]


Many youngsters do not think of this, and they reap years of sorrow.

Many Christians do not think of this either (perhaps deceived by theology), not
knowing that for the same sin, GOD demands more from a Christian than one who
has never heard the "word", and therefore suffer the consequences terribly.
