Welcome to the HOME LEARNING SUPPORT-CENTRAL ALBERTA group, a parent led support group for families educating at home in Central Alberta.

Here you can connect online with other homeschool families to discuss curriculum options, school board options, learning methods and family life in general.

Members have access to the use of our lending resource library and are encouraged to attend our weekly Mug Up, which runs from September to May each year.

What is Mug Up? Mug Up is recess for home school families! It is a weekly gathering hosted in a family home from 10:30 - 3:30 any Wednesday from September to May, a socialization time for kids and a weekly support group for parents. Come for the whole day every week or just whenever time permits.

New members must be approved by the list owner. When joining the group a short form fill document will be emailed to you, please fill it out and return it to the list owner, once approved we’ll forward the form to the group as an introduction of yourself to the group!

This group is for online discussions and thus produces daily email. There are ways to manage the amount coming into your inbox, please ask if you do not know how to adjust your yahoo group settings.

The Activities group is for posting learning opportunities, fieldtrips and activities only (there is no daily chatter on this group)
