HEP is not a local support group but a Yahoo group for all Polk County (Florida) families who home school. Find out about support groups, curriculum, classes, workshops, evaluators, requirements, meetings, book sales, and more. Ask questions and find answers from other Polk County parents who educate their children at home.

Share with other home-schooling parents in Polk County. We'll discuss our ups and downs, victories and difficulties, getting started in home schooling, making it through high school, and helping a student "own" his education.

You are welcome to list items for sale here. The idea of first offering items to others in our county fits well with the idea of community. We want to support what home schooling families are doing, including resources available through familes with home businesses. If you give lessons, if you have something to trade or share, tell us about it. You can always just hit Delete if you don't want to read a message that comes in your mailbox.
