Dear Friends,
I am pleased to invite to announce that the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will host its Second Annual Youth/Young Adult Gathering Featuring.
This year our gathering will feature both a youth/Young Adult Mass and a concert featuring the renowned Jacob and Matthew Band.
The details are as follows:
Date: Sunday, August 7, 2011
Mass in the Cathedral: 5:30 pm
Concert on the Plaza: 7:15 pm
I hope you will share this information with your parish communities so that they might join us for this special event. In particular, may I ask that you pass the information along to your youth and young adult ministry teams.
We will begin with a special Mass in the Cathedral and then move out on to the beautiful Cathedral plaza for an exciting concert by the talented Jacob and Matthew Band. The band brings their cutting edge style as an alternative to modern rock. With a strong foundation in Jesus' gospel message of love, the music and lyrics inspire self-reflection, and tell the world that “you can praise God and rock out"! Don’t miss what is sure to be one of the summer’s premier events for Catholic youth and young adults.
