No bible needed- we provide a print-out! Sometimes we do coffee/food afterwards. 2)Sat 07/11 (7:00-9:30PM)- OLA Region's Theology on Tap: Discerning God's Plan For You - OLA Region is kicking off this summer's Theology on Tap this Saturday at the Cathedral. This summer's series will explore those difficult questions of "Why me?", "What did I do to deserve this?", and "What do I do now?" Light refreshments provided and cash bar on site. Meet at Holy Family at 6:30PM for carpool. 555 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. 3) Sat 07/18 (8:30A.M ~ noon) Winter Creek Loop Hike - Join us for a shady hike through a deep lush wooded canyon and a peaceful little stream! The floor of the canyon is covered with a lush ivy like ground cover, a multitude of trees, large rock faces, and a lovely burbling creek. From the Foothill Freeway(210) in Arcadia, exit on Santa Anita Avenue and drive six miles north to its end at Chantry Flat. The trail begins across the road from the parking lot. We're meeting at 8:30A.M at the trailhead parking lot. Please try to be timely! Come out and have fun, play games, and win prizes! Trip will include dinner at Ruby's on the Pier. Some of us will be heading to the beach after the hike. Let's journey through the U.S. Catholic Catechism for Adults.The Catechism Study Group will meet at Victory Park on the 4th Saturday of every month at 11am. We will discuss any questions you have regarding the Catholic faith and history. Please note that this is not an official class and I'm not a trained catechist. Join us for the 5:30 p.m. mass (right side, row #28), and we'll go to dinner afterward & celebrate another year's end, and a new year's beginning! RISE is on Facebook!
