Welcome to the Historical Fiction Writer's Critique Group. We are a small, but mighty international group of authors who encourage and critique each others work. Our group was established in 2004 and have been going strong ever since.

This group is for serious authors who are actively working on a manuscript on a steady basis.

All eras of historical fiction novels are welcome here - Western, Medieval, World War II, Prehistoric, Napoleonic, Victorian, Regency, Roman, Ancient periods. As long as it is before 1950, you are welcome here.

The standard of writing here is high and authors must have mastered basic writing skills (point of view, show vs. tell, etc).

We have some basic, but very strict rules:

1. Everyone must participate - no lurking!

2. You must complete a minumum of 3 critiques per month. And if you wish to post your chapters faster, for every chapter you post, you must complete 3 critiques.

When first applying to join, please describe yourself and your writing and if possible include your website url.
