Re: [Hipbaby] SCOTTISH RITE BRACE

Sue,
My son wears the scottish rite brace. I like it better than the rhino cruiser.
Its sturdier and allows him more freedom to move. He only wears it at night now
but it never slowed him down during the day. He stands and cruises in his crib
in the brace. He hasn't had too many sleeping problems with this brace, most
have been teeth related.
I do put a piece of duct tape over the ends of the velcro straps so he can't
take it off at night.

Subject: [Hipbaby] SCOTTISH RITE BRACE

Hi there
Was wondering if anyone out there has their child in this type of
brace? Scottish Rite or Atlanta brace? Jessie has been wearing the
rhino cruiser for 3 months now and at the last check up our doc felt
that she is too active in it, due to it falling apart and is ordering
her a scottish rite. I am a little anxious about it due to it took
so long for Jessie to get used to the Rhino a lot of sleepless nights
and now here we go again! She will have to wear it 24 hours a day
with exceptions to baths and swimming, for the next 6 months and then
another xray. This process is really exausting! So just wanted to
know if anyone could give me some info on this particular brace like
comfort level and how it works.

Thanks so much! To top it off I live in Florida and we have been
dealing with one Hurricaine after another so my stress level is
ZERO! :)

Take care,
Sue
