Tripurarahasya is a very important Tantric text. It contains the
Puja Paddhati, yogic Kriyas, pathas and prescribed ascetic
practices. It carries Mantras and Matrkas on Shabda, Dhvani,
Varna, Nada, Bindu, etc. It also contains many Yantras or
cosmic diagrams.

It is also known as Haritayana Samhita, after Sumedha, the
disciple of Parashurama.

Tripurarahasya is divided into three sections.
Section 1 Mahatmyakhanda has eighty chapters
Section 2 Jñanakhanda has twenty-two chapters
Section 3 Caryakhanda had forty-two chapters

The present work is the Mahatmyakhanda, starting from
"Aum NamaH" and ending with "Tripuraiva Hriim"

"Aum" is the bijamantra of Lord Shiva while "Hriim" is
that of the primordial goddess Shakti. Hence, this work
underlines the concomitance of the cosmic powers of
Shiva and Shakti.

This section has 6687 Sanskrit Shlokas. Their Hindi
translation is also given below the mulapatha.
