Description

A group for residents of the Highland and West Highland neighborhoods of Denver, Colorado to communicate and be informed about crime and safety issues in our neighborhood.

The Highland/West Highland boundaries are:

North -- W. 38th Avenue
East -- the Platte River
South -- Speer Boulevard west to it's intersection with W. 29th Avenue, and then W. 29th Avenue west to Sheridan Boulevard
West -- Sheridan Boulevard

Please note that posts to the group are severely moderated. The group is only to be used to inform your neighbors of current incidents, suspicious activities, or safety concerns. The moderator reserves the right to edit or wholly reject posts which do not meet this standard.

All posters are reminded that this is a tool to aid in keeping your neighbors informed, so that they may join in the effort to control crime and reduce risk in our neighborhoods. ALL suspicious activity should still be reported immediately to the Denver Police -- this board is not a substitute for that. Contact the Denver police at:

911: Used for emergencies such as criminal activity in progress, particularly if the activity is violent in nature. Use this also for medical and fire related emergencies.

720-913-2000: This is their non-emergency number and directs you to the same dispatch center as 911. Using this number may take a little longer to get through but it helps the center prioritize calls for service, giving the emergency calls precedence for a faster response. Use this to report crimes that are not in progress and other non-emergency calls for service.

This group has no affiliation with either Highland United Neighbors, Inc., or the West Highland Neighborhood Association.
