Welcome to the Herts HE yahoo webspace. This group is for families in or near Hertfordshire, who are home educating or just embarking on it. It's purpose is to provide a space for discussion, practical support and information sharing, in order to create a supportive networking community for the benefit of our children's education.

The group is wholly inclusive, respectful of all educational styles and philosophies. It is important that we always bear in mind that whilst we all share the common goal of education, there are myriad ways in which this is carried out. In order to keep this a friendly place, it is helpful if we focus on our similar goals and are accepting of others different beliefs or styles of education.
The Herts HE yahoo group offers:

A list of regular and one off events organised by the home educating families in Herts,
an email list for discussion and support and the sharing of ideas, experiences, contacts,links and other events in the area.
A section where anyone can post links to useful websites, or to our children's websites.
A section where we can share photographs.
A place to swap, sell or recycle.

The list is a closed one, and people can only become members at the invitation of the moderators. None of the emails, pictures or files on the webspace can be viewed by non members searching on the web. To protect our families' privacy we ask that people do not pass on anything of a personal or identifying nature from this webspace without permission from the writer.
