HHTWC (Helping Hands TWC) is a homeschool group that addresses the specific needs of those homeschooling special needs children. Most meetings are centered around the child with activities for the children. However, it is a good opportunity for the parents to get together to network! Members need to be willing to attend bi-monthly meetings. Helping Hands is not solely a support online board.

Membership is open to any family in the FAYETTEVILLE, NC, and IMMEDIATE local surrounding areas (Fort Bragg, Hope Mills, etc...) homeschooling (a) SPECIAL NEEDS CHILD(REN) ages 5 - 18 from mild delays to severe impairments. Children age 4 may qualify if they will turn 5 before October of the new school year. **Members attend group meetings bi-monthly**

WHEN APPLYING FOR MEMBERSHIP, PLEASE GIVE A FIRST NAME AND HOME/CELL PHONE NUMBER. WE ALSO REQUEST THAT YOU LET US KNOW YOUR CHILD IS SPECIAL NEEDS in your membership request. We get a lot of requests for children that are not special needs and this particular group is group is geared specifically for special needs children and their parents/caregivers. Meetings will take place every other Tuesday in the gym at the Dorothy Gilmore Center, 1600 Purdue Drive, Fayetteville, NC, from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. beginning January 10th, 2012. Please check calendar prior to meetings to be sure there are no changes. Also keep an eye out for activities on off meeting days!
