On August 12, 2004, this Yahoo! Group was created to:
1.) Facilitate the communication between members of an extended Family based on the North Shore of Massachusetts, in the United States.
2.) Provide a centralized repository for Family resources such as genealogical information, interesting web sites, etc.
3.) "See where things might go", as far as helping us all know "from where we came", so that we have a better idea of where we are going, . . . and who might be going there with us.

While this group's name is "Haskell", it is fully understood that many family names are woven into the fabric of our existence. At the August 7, 2004 family cook out in Dover, MA the 22 people there represented a lineage that included: Baird, Bean, French, Gaudet, Hunt, Johnston, and others. Hence, please don't let the name throw you. "A Rose, by another other name, would still smell as sweet."
