Description
|
This group's purpose is to bring people together who are
interested in going back to the basics: to Hahnemann's own
writings in the original German, re-translated for clarity
and transparency, carefully and meaningfully analyzed.
The emphasis is on maximum seriousness: building a firm
foundation on fact and observation, referring to pure
experience to make sense of what we've seen and of what
Hahnemann says, while keeping observation clearly separate
from opinion or interpretation as much as possible.
We started by working through the Preface and Introduction,
and partway through the Intro, we began to study the text word
by word. We are now at Aphorism 91, as of Jan, 2005). The interlinear translations done so far are available to the
group's members at
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Hahnemaniacs/files/Organon/menu.htm. Although you must be a member to view these pages, you can
always join and set your membership to "web only", so that you
do not receive posts, but can use the web pages and archives.
You do not need to speak German in order to participate, as
the goal is to make a basic understanding of Hahnemann's
sentences clear to all English speakers. All questions and
disagreement are welcome, if intended to promote understanding
of the topic. This group is exclusively for a study of the 6th Organon,
and NOT for the discussion of clinical cases or of general homeopathic topics, as there are many other groups available for that purpose.
Any intolerance or belittling of other members' posts is not
allowed, and anyone who persists in such behavior will be banned.
Off-topic posts about computer viruses, current events, inspirational
poems, chain letters and so on are also strictly forbidden.
