The Hiawatha Shore-to-Shore Chapter (HSS) of the North Country Trail Association (NCTA) is a group of hikers of various skill and interest levels that volunteer their time and efforts to promote, maintain, improve, and explore the North Country National Scenic Trail (NCNST). We are based in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan and have adopted 122 miles of the NCNST. Our section of the trail starts at the south end of the Mackinac Bridge and travels north to the mouth of the Two-Hearted River on Lake Superior.
