The Homeschool Quest Trekkers of Western MA is a fully inclusive secular group, with membership spanning all styles of homeschooling. Our group’s mission is to meet the targeted needs of intermediate through high school aged students and the adults who support their development, so that they are ready to transition effectively into their adult academic, vocational, and social lives.

The group offers activities, trips, and workshops focusing on vocational exploration, consumerism, academic and study skills development, specialized unit studies, and social opportunities. We also offer planning and “how to” workshops on multisensory learning approaches in the different subject areas, record keeping and post-high school transition preparation, and parenting support. Our workshops and activities are presented in a format that respects diverse learning styles and age groups.

Our group accesses the enormous resource of expertise of the adults within our homeschool group. We also tap into the talents of the professional community of Western MA to support these activities. The group values active participation by both student and adult members, and views the creativity, motivation, and insight of each individual as necessary to realizing our vision for meeting the needs of this growing age group of homeschool students.
