Description

Proposed/Tentative Plans - 04-05, may change to meet the needs of the members, will finalize in late August 04.

This e-group list is for HSHA families in the Santa Clara County/SF Bay area participating in the homeschooled high schoolers group in the 04-05 year.

Our group focus: hands-on fun activties/field trips!

HSHA meets the 2nd non-holiday Monday (or Tuesday?)of each month from approximately 9am to 12 noon, or longer depending on the activity.

Calendar: HSHA meets Sept through April; usually takes Dec off/does a party, and finishes the 'year' in May with an End of the Year party in June.

HSHA is a parent participatory/planned group. NOTE: Each teen expected to have one of *their* parents attend HSHA events with them.

Each participating HSHA family is required to plan and host a *minimum* of *ONE* or more activities with related novel (novel requirement pending) for the group each year.

Any planning costs - including making copies of info to be distributed to the group, long distance phone calls, etc -
are covered by that month's HSHA 'host' family.

Cost of field trips/other activities varies and is covered by the *individual* participating HSHA families.

HSHA families are expected to *be prepared* and be committed to attend HSHA field trips/novel (novel decision pending) discussions and HSHA meetings for the 04-05 year.

Email and the Internet access is *required*; we do nearly all of our HSHA communication/discussion/planning/information exchange by email.

Minimum age for participating HSHA *teens* is: turning 13 ON or BEFORE June 1, 2005. *Highschool* level teens only, however, 8th graders turning 13 by the deadline are welcome! :)

Siblings are welcome to attend and even participate at their own level when appropriate for the activity. Most of our activities are sibling-friendly, but some do have age limits.

Come Join Us for 04-05!
