Welcome to the Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia, Canada web page for The Freecycle Network^®. The Freecycle worldwide network is designed for individuals who want to "recycle" that special something that's no longer used, but too good to throw out. Whether it's a chair, fax machine, piano or old door feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself!

Our goal: To find a good home for material objects that are otherwise headed for the landfill and to have a little fun in the process!

General Guidelines: Make sure you use the right subject line. No Delivery Requests. No messages in ALL CAPS. No Pets. Arrange pickup of your item with one person rather than "at the curb at 1 Main St, whoever gets here first gets it". Keep WANTED posts to 1 or 2 per user per week. Don't request the same item more than once per month and don't request something that you wouldn't give away for free. No ASAP WANTED posts. Make sure you use a subject line shown below and you're set!

OFFER: Item (General Location)
TAKEN: Item (Post when item you OFFER is taken)
WANTED: Item (General Location)
RECEIVED: Item (Used after receiving a WANTED item you requested)
