Description

This is a resource/professional support group for 1st gr. teachers who are using the Houghton-Mifflin literacy series. We want to share information, help organize materials, enjoy the art of teaching, and impact student learning through the effective use of HM materials/shared supplemental files. Be sure to check out the "files section" and the "links" section for these shared member files. Our group focuses on the teaching of literacy, using HM. We work hard to avoid "spam messages" and don't encourage "OFF TOPIC" message posts. However, if members do post a message/question that does not pertain to the HM Curriculum, we request that you label the "Subject" of that post "OFF TOPIC", and then put a phrase that would help members know the topic. Members who desire only HM content-related messages could immediately delete/skip over that message. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy. We request that you do not ask for copyrighted materials through this group. The group files are contributions from many different professionals whom hold different professional philosophies. The files/links are not endorsed by the HM company, nor the moderators. Use your good judgment to match student needs with supplemental materials.
